Towerclock Cretin L'Ange

Towerclock Cretin L'Ange

For this project, Jac. ten Hoeve restored and reinstalled an antique towerclock mechanism. A noteworthy feature is the double faced dial, fully hand made.

The towerclock was made in 1894 by the house of Arsène Cretin L'ange in Morbiers (Jura).

Geramin Cretin L'Ange started a clockmakers' workshop in 1830. After his death in 1866 Geramin bequeaths the firm to his sons Casimir-Arsène (1841-1911) and Lucien-Henri (1845-1875).

Unfortunately the original whereabouts of this clock are not traceable. These clocks carry no serial number and no ledgers were kept.
