We are the sole manufacturers of Astronomical Clocks built according to the concept of Noordmans. Hans Noordmans was awarded 'Friesian amateur-astronomer of the 20th century'.
The Noordmans Sunclock with it's sun model, moving across the skyline of Joure. 'Westermeer' on the east side and the Douwe Egberts Factory on the west side. This upright standing Sun Clock can be fitted with any custom horizon or skyline.
When the days are lengthening, the apparent noon height of the sun is increasing accordingly. This phenomenon is reflected in this exceptional clock, which additionally features indications of the date, the position of the moon as well as the constellations.
